Ski Trip 2026
Keystone, CO

We planned to spend 12 days skiing Keystone. There was a shortage of snow (like a 20 year shortage) yet more than enough for us. The weather was bright and sunny and even though my A Fib would slow me down we would still enjoy the hotel, being outside and just enjoying new restaurants.

We checked into our hotel and they upgraded us to a suite in the top floor as they had done for our last two stays. We had reservations for 12 days and unpacked went to dinner before turning in.
So here's what happened:
Checking in and we discover a new $25 parking fee and a $35 per day resort fee.
Woke up on day one to no water, so we had to depart the 6th floor to a small room on the third floor.
no water means no breakfast and no coffee
Next day the fire alarm goes off at 3am
No water for the ice machines
Next day fire alarm goes off at 5am
Day six and the internet is out and we notify the hotel we are checking out.
This is a Hyatt hotel and we expected better but I will say they eliminated two days from our bill, the resort charges and the parking charge.
We did discover a couple of good restaurants. sat out in the sun and dispite the hotel had a good time.

One thing about most of the ski resorts is that they always seem to have a great Bloody Mary to raise your spirits or ease your pain.
